Josh Emory focuses his practice on intellectual property, business transactional matters, and civil litigation, including all manner of patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, unfair competition, and business disputes in federal and state courts throughout the United States. In addition to litigating, Mr. Emory’s practice focuses on U.S. and international patent and trademark prosecution and other intellectual property and business transactional matters, including copyrights, IP licensing and various technology transfer agreements, and other contractual matters.

Mr. Emory’s trademark practice centers around registration, counseling, and the enforcement of trademark rights. He has prosecuted a large number of U.S. and international trademark portfolios for a diverse range of clients, in all areas of trademark law and in countless varied industries. Mr. Emory’s practice includes the evaluation and clearance of marks, the maintenance and monitoring of marks, licensing, recordation of trademarks with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency, and the handling of opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trials and Appeals Board.

Mr. Emory has also prosecuted a wide array of U.S. and international patent portfolios concerning life sciences, mechanical technologies, medical devices, and content distribution networks. Specifically, Mr. Emory has represented inventors whose technology concerns molecular biology, cellular biology, biochemistry, genetic testing, pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals, semi-conductors, component packaging, plasma fractionation processes, pyrolysis waste treatment systems, automotive parts, wireless devices, biodegradable containers, and therapeutic sporting garments.
